Moscore-QM is a high performance scoring software package and the first of its kind designed exclusively for quarter midget racing. It is designed to relieve tower staff of their high paperwork load and streamline the race day to help cope with the growing number of cars participating in racing events. In order to have Subscriber Newsletter sent to Club system administrator it is important that your system Administrator's to be registered to log in at

To see a simulated view of what is posted on your scoreboard. Drag the corners of the simulator box that appears to size it to your liking. Also place your curser on the top bar of the simulator to place it were you want on the page.

Initially there are no default transponder groups.
To set transponder groups do the following:
To add a name for a set of transponders (usually the initials of the club owning the set of transponders)transponders.

This form is used to register Driver and Handler Member information in the database. Each member's information has to be entered into the system once. Once a member is registered, their information can be retrieved easily for event registration, just by entering their member number or part of their name.
Note: The handler should always be registered before their driver(s).

Single Mode is used when only one car is on the track at a time.
(Note: in Single Mode, only one car is recorded at a time, despite the appearance of multiple cars on the screen, assuming there is only one car on the track.)

in Session Mode, you should check the car as it may indicate a transponder malfunction.Right Click on driver's name for a menu:

Insert Passing: Will simulate what happens when a car crosses the loop . At time will be entered for the driver
Clear Passings: clears all passings for a driver.

Car Status is used to mark a change of results of the Cars Qualifying Session

These are the controls the user should be familiar with in order to operate the race scoring page.

Use this menu to send cars to the back, and to assign Dead on Track (under green) and calls
Use this menu when cars leave the racing surface for any reason (most often for repairs)
Use this checkbox to mark cars which are DOT under green.
This section will guide the user through the running of a basic race, from warmup to checkered flag. It is expected that the user has a basic understanding of the race scoring controls found in the section Race Scoring Command Legend
Note: The Warmup Clock has to have been run in order start recording a race! See Start the Warmup
Once the Event Registration and Qualifying has taken place the tower has to Create Grids
The same procedure to generate grids is used in Heats and Mains.
Follow the same steps to print Mains grid.

(repairs). If there is a caution the computer needs to know which cars are actually on the track. If the race runs too long with an uncorrected CAR OFF TRACK the race will not be scored properly.

Immediatly after a yellow/red flag make sure to mark which cars went dead under green with the checkbox near the car number. This is a reminder as to which cars should get DOT charges when the judges make their decision.

Once the race is finished and all the cars which finished the race have crossed on the screen in the checkered flag lap, switch to the next race. Use the 'Next' button at the top or pick a race from the 'All 6' menu.

New in Moscore-QM is the ability to make corrections on-the-fly. This feature allows the user to correct a flag placement after it has happened, effectively changing the lead car while the race progresses.

This is the new scoresheet screen. The colored notches in the corner of some squares represent the time when a flag button was pressed (green/yellow/red/checkered (black)). All flag markers except the checkered can be dragged left or right to change their position (or the car's position).
During the race, the user may need to quickly change the leader after a green flag has been thrown, due to mis-timing the keypress. If, for example, car 8 was actually in the lead, but the computer shows 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8, the user may press '8' on the keyboard during the green flag to make the '8' car the lead. pressing the ~ key will make the X car the lead.
There are several options in the race scoring mode which help to keep this software up-to-date with real-world situations. Most of these situations consist of quick, un-planned changes of transponders, but may also be driver changes at the last minute due to unexpected circumstances. All "On the Fly" options in the Race Scoring mode can be accessed by right-clicking on the driver's name
This tool allows you to manually edit starting lineups and the finishing order for any race within an event.

This screen is opened by selecting Tools -> Options . Now there should be a new window called Moscore QM Options. To get to the sounds option tab select either the Qualifying or the Race Scoring tab. |

Beep alarms are only played through the computers internal sound system, it will not be broadcast through the sound card. Note this program will not play multiple sounds set for the same time. eg. if a .wav file and a beep are both set at 1 min, only one will play.

Q: I’m trying to find a name in the database that I’m SURE is in there, but I can’t find it! What might be wrong?
A: It is possible that the name is in the database, but was entered incorrectly. Here are a couple of options to try:
Q: During registration of a new driver, I discovered that the handler information was not entered into the database. How do I enter the handler’s information so that I can complete the new driver’s information?
A: It is very important to remember that a handler’s information should be entered before the driver’s information at all times. If done in this order, it avoids the problem as described above. However, this problem can be solved with just one extra step.

If there is no option for any color mode greater than 16 color mode, you will have to install new video drivers for your video card.
See your video card manufacturers website or manual for details on how to do this.
Q: When I go to run MO-Score QM, it won't start and I get a message saying that TCP/IP isn't installed. What's this all about?
A: This procedure is meant for use on computers running Windows 98/95 which do not have a tcp/ip network set up. Most often this is only the case that the computer has NO modem and NO network card installed. Follow these instructions and apply them to a computer if MO-Score QM won't start because TCP/IP isn't installed.
